Gym Cost Per Visit Calculator

Your gym membership is only good value if you actually go. Work out what each session really costs based on how often you turn up — and whether you'd be better off paying for casual visits instead.

What does each gym visit actually cost you?

Your cost per visit is your yearly membership cost divided by how often you actually go. A $60/month membership ($720/yr) costs about $7 a visit if you go twice a week, but blows out to ~$30 a visit if you only go twice a month. Your membership is worth it whenever your cost per visit beats a casual day pass (around $22 in Australia). Source: indicative Australian gym pricing.

Worked example. Paying $60 a month and going just twice a month works out to $30 per visit — well above a ~$22 casual pass. Go twice a week instead and the same membership is about $7 a visit.
