How do I convert my pay between frequencies?

Convert everything through an annual figure first. Hourly × hours × 52, weekly × 52, fortnightly × 26, monthly × 12 all give the yearly amount. Then divide that annual figure: ÷12 for monthly, ÷26 for fortnightly, ÷52 for weekly, and ÷(hours×52) for hourly. These are gross amounts — before tax, Medicare and super. Source: indicative arithmetic (52-week year).

Worked example. $1,500 a fortnight × 26 = $39,000 a year. That is $3,250 a month, $750 a week, and about $19.74 an hour on a 38-hour week. Remember these are gross — your take-home pay after tax and super will be lower.
